Many businesses still expect one of their staff members to be on call in case of alarm activations or other emergencies.

Have you provided adequate training in how to respond to an emergency? Are they familiar with the premises at night. Do they have backup?
It isn’t just the risk of confronting an intruder. If they fall and hurt themselves will anyone know? Are they going to lie there injured until you get there in the morning? What if it’s Saturday night and you won’t be in until Monday?
